Countryside Comfort

Our firm was extremely blessed to be referred to these wonderful clients.  In their retirement, our clients were seeking a quality builder who would be able to help them work through a wonderful design and build of a sizable ranch home detailed with a workable floor plan and clean traditional stylings that best suited their needs and desires for many, many years to come.

From the street, the home conveys an elegant contextual curb appeal.  On their wish list was an expansive four-car garage where the owners could not only house their vehicles, but also their yard/garden equipment as well as an interior heated garage bay that would afford our client the opportunity to carryout his hobby of working on cars, even during the frigid winter months.  Equally important to them was their ability to enjoy the surrounding scenery under cover on either their quaint front porch or more privately on their wide-ranging rear porch.

On the interior, visitors are greeted in the center of the home in a graceful foyer with welcoming views into the adjacent dining room and voluminous great room beyond.  Detailed with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and custom coffered ceiling, this room is the perfect setting to relax with family, enjoy a movie, or peacefully gaze outside to the landscape through the large four-panel sliding glass door.

Flanking one side of the great room is the private and spacious master bedroom suite complete with a luxurious bathroom housing a grand custom shower, dual vanities, and a restful freestanding tub.  Completing the master suite are capacious his and her walk-in closets and a desirable remote office space/sitting room.  Flanking the other side of the great room is the stately kitchen, large walk-in pantry, and invigorating breakfast nook area that brings in plenty of natural light and affords more compelling views of the beautiful estate outside.

Rounding out the interior living space are two more considerable bedrooms, adjoining full bathroom, and substantial mud/laundry room that is so pleasureful that performing necessary laundry duties can be enjoyable even to those who may despise ‘cleaning day’.

Looking beyond the fit and finish, the home also incorporates important energy-efficiency and healthy home strategies.  In addition to its super-tight building envelope, Pella low-e windows, the home is insulated notably higher than code with R-10 under the basement slab, R-33 in the exterior below-grade walls, R-26 in the exterior above-grade walls, and R-52 in the attic.  Additionally, there’s an extensive energy-efficient LED lighting package, high-performance water heater, and ultra-efficient multi-zone heat pump HVAC system with an ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilator). We are very genuinely grateful to our clients for their trust and confidence in designing and building this beautiful ranch home with our firm.  And we wish them many, many years of treasured memories with their family and friends in this new home!
